Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro: the upcoming flagships already spotted, global launch expected in early 2026

Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro: Next Flagships Spotted, Global Launch Expected Early 2026

Just weeks after the global launch of the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro, the Chinese brand is already preparing successors. According to new information from the IMEI database, Xiaomi is actively working on the Xiaomi 17T series, with a global launch potentially in February 2026.

In a surprising move, the manufacturer appears to be skipping the “16T” numbering, similar to what it did recently with the Xiaomi 16 series reserved for the Chinese market.

Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro Found in IMEI Database

The specialized site XiaomiTime discovered the references of the new models in the IMEI database, confirming their existence:

  • Xiaomi 17T (Global): model 2602DPT53G
  • Xiaomi 17T (India): model 2602DPT53I
  • Xiaomi 17T Pro (Global): models 2602EPTC0G and 2602EPTC0R

This last piece of information is particularly intriguing: the Indian version of the 17T is making a comeback, as the T series had been absent from the Indian market since the Xiaomi 11T in 2021.

Next-Gen MediaTek Chips

Regarding performance, early reports suggest that:

  • The Xiaomi 17T will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500,
  • While the Xiaomi 17T Pro will feature the Dimensity 9500, the same high-end chip used in the upcoming Vivo X300 Pro and Oppo Find X9 Pro.

These two models are expected to offer a significant boost in power and energy efficiency while maintaining Xiaomi’s “T” philosophy: high-end-like performance at a more competitive price point.

HyperOS 3 and Return of the T Series in India

The Xiaomi 17T series will likely be among the first global lineups from Xiaomi to integrate HyperOS 3, the new version of its proprietary system based on Android 16. This unified system, already present on the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra models in China, promises improved fluidity, enhanced AI integration, and better connectivity among devices within the Xiaomi ecosystem.

The return of the T model in India signals a strong intent from Xiaomi: the company is determined to reclaim a crucial market where it has been less prominent in recent years compared to OnePlus and iQOO.

A Global Launch Expected in February 2026

The code “2602” in the IMEI references suggests that the global launch of the Xiaomi 17T series will occur in February 2026. This timing aligns with Xiaomi’s typical schedule for unveiling new “T” generation models internationally, approximately six months after flagship releases in China.

By that time, the brand will have already expanded its domestic lineup with the Xiaomi 17s Pro and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, expected in the first half of 2026. Among these, only the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra are projected to receive a global launch.

Xiaomi Accelerates Its Innovation Cycle

With the preparation of the Xiaomi 17T series, Xiaomi reaffirms its ambition to maintain a steady presence throughout the year with a rapid rotation of its flagships. Featuring next-gen MediaTek Dimensity chips, HyperOS 3, and a strategic return to the Indian market, the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro could become the brand’s spearheads in the “affordable premium” segment in 2026.
