Xiaomi 17: One Million Units Sold in 48 Hours, Is the High-End Bet Successful?
The new Xiaomi 17 series has had a spectacular launch. Lu Weibing, partner and president of the group, confirmed that sales of the Xiaomi 17 series surpassed one million units in just 48 hours.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max alone accounts for over half of these sales, followed by the Pro version.
Xiaomi 17: Is the High-End Bet Validated?
With models exceeding 6,000 yuan (around 720 euros) for the first time, Xiaomi is clearly embracing a premium upgrade. Weibing refers to this as a “historic” shift in the brand’s product strategy, which has already resulted in greater enthusiasm compared to the Xiaomi 15 series.

The only downside: the absence of a 1TB version for the standard model at launch. In response to criticisms, Xiaomi quickly rectified this by announcing that the 1TB version would be available starting October 5, priced at 5,299 yuan (approximately 635 euros), which is 200 yuan less than its equivalent on the Xiaomi 15.
Aiming for a New Record
Despite some inventory tensions, Xiaomi assures that they will increase production to meet demand. With this record-breaking launch and confirmed interest in premium models, all signs indicate that the Xiaomi 17 series will surpass the sales volumes of the previous generation.
In short, Xiaomi is successfully transitioning to the high-end market with a 17 series that is already breaking speed records, positioning the Pro Max as the flagship of its success.
