Vivo X300 and X300 Pro: global launch on October 30

Vivo X300 and X300 Pro: Global Launch on October 30

After OPPO confirmed the presentation of the Find X9 series on October 28, it’s now Vivo’s turn to announce its plans. The Chinese manufacturer has officially announced that its new Vivo X300 series will be unveiled on October 30 at 5 PM (local time) in Europe, before being rolled out in Asia between November and December.

A World Premiere in Europe for the Vivo X300 Series

Vivo’s European subsidiaries, including Vivo Austria and Vivo Czech Republic, have confirmed the news on their social media platforms. The official product pages are already live on their websites, revealing some design elements and initial technical specifications of the X300 and X300 Pro models.

Two color options have already been confirmed: Dune Brown and Phantom Black. It is likely that the X300 Pro will feature the same elegant finishes.

An Unprecedented Zeiss Teleconverter for Optical Zoom

One of the highlights of this new series is a photographic accessory developed with Zeiss: a 2.35x teleconverter. This accessory allows for extending the focal length of the camera without losing image quality, a significant advantage for wildlife, sports, or landscape photography enthusiasts.

Easy to attach to the main lens, this accessory once again showcases the ongoing technical collaboration between Vivo and Zeiss, already well established in previous models.

A 200 Megapixel Sensor for Both Models

Both smartphones will share a 200-megapixel camera sensor:

  • on the Vivo X300, it will act as the main sensor,
  • on the Vivo X300 Pro, it will be dedicated to the telephoto lens.

Vivo seems to be focusing on optical versatility and professional rendering, a trend already initiated with the X100 and X100 Pro.

Power and Software: Featuring Dimensity 9500 and OriginOS

Under the hood, both models will be powered by the Dimensity 9500, MediaTek’s new high-end chip built on a 3 nm process. It promises significant gains in CPU/GPU performance and energy efficiency, while integrating a powerful AI unit dedicated to photo processing and real-time translation.

However, the major software novelty lies in the interface change: For the first time, Vivo will offer OriginOS in the international market, moving away from Funtouch OS, which has equipped all of its smartphones outside of China until now.

This global version of OriginOS will provide a smoother and more customizable experience, featuring a modular design and new contextual AI functions.
