The Redmi Note 14 will receive HyperOS 3 before the Note 15: Xiaomi surprises everyone

Xiaomi surprises everyone by announcing that the Redmi Note 14 series will be the first to benefit from HyperOS 3, its upcoming update based on Android 16. Surprisingly, this will arrive even before the launch of the Redmi Note 15, which is expected in the coming months.

According to Xiaomi’s announcement, HyperOS 3 is already in internal beta testing. The public version is expected to be released in about a month, while tests for the Redmi Note 15 have not yet started. Users of the Note 14 are encouraged to regularly check the System Update tab or use the MemeOS Enhancer app. This way, they will receive notifications as soon as new firmware becomes available. Currently, there is no set deployment date. This is good news, considering that some popular devices are not compatible.

HyperOS 3: Deployment Confirmed for All Variants of the Redmi Note 14

This approach may seem unusual. However, Xiaomi ensures that it quickly reaches a broad user base. Additionally, this model will enhance the popularity of its mid-range lineup. This strategy resembles last year’s, where the Note 13 received HyperOS 2 before its successors.

It is clear that Xiaomi is planning global coverage from the moment this update launches. Indeed, the initial build codes for HyperOS 3 have been spotted by internal sources and specialized firmware tracking sites for all versions:

  • Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G / POCO X7: builds confirmed for China, Europe, India, and the global market.
  • Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G: versions ready for Europe, Turkey, Russia, and the global market.
  • Standard Redmi Note 14: updates expected in Europe, Indonesia, Turkey, Taiwan, Russia, and the global market.

Of course, many other models are also compatible, including some tablets.

What New Features Will HyperOS 3 Bring?

This third iteration of the OS will offer a redesigned interface. Users will discover new icons and more readable battery and signal indicators. Xiaomi is also introducing a feature similar to “Dynamic Island” to enrich contextual interactions on screen.

Moreover, it will be possible to transfer calls and SMS from one Xiaomi device to another more easily. This is a practical function already well known by Apple and Samsung. It is a new inter-device integration feature of HyperOS 3 that enables this functionality.
