Samsung Galaxy Buds 4: leak of a new rounded design spotted in One UI 8.5

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4: Leak of a new rounder design spotted in One UI 8.5

A new leak suggests that Samsung is preparing to revise the design of its upcoming Galaxy Buds 4. According to a report from Android Authority, the new look was spotted in the icon files embedded in One UI 8.5, Samsung’s upcoming interface version.

The site claims to have discovered a file named “list_ic_earbuds_buds4” within the system firmware. This type of icon is used by Samsung to display its earbuds in the device connection menu—and in the past, such files have often revealed the final design of products before their official launch.

Galaxy Buds 4: A rounder and more fluid design

According to this leak, the Galaxy Buds 4 will maintain the stem format introduced with the Buds 3, but Samsung is expected to abandon the more angular and triangular shape of the previous generation. The new earbuds will thus feature a more fluid and rounded design, noticeably sleeker.

A comparison between the icons of the Buds 3 and the Buds 4 highlights this evolution towards a more cohesive and softer style.

Launch expected in early 2026?

Samsung has yet to officially confirm the release date for the Galaxy Buds 4. However, given that the Buds 3 were released earlier this year, it is likely that the new generation will coincide with the launch of the Galaxy S26 lineup, expected in early 2026.
