Realme UI 7.0: A Bright Glass Design, Smooth Animations, and Boosted Productivity
Realme has officially confirmed that the Realme GT 8 Pro, expected on October 21, will be the first smartphone shipped with Realme UI 7.0.
Derek, a brand executive, shared on Weibo the key features of this new interface, which is based on Android 16 and marks a significant step forward in the evolution of the Realme experience.
A Redesigned “Glass and Light” Aesthetic
The first thing that catches the eye in Realme UI 7.0 is its new visual language. The interface adopts a style called “Light & Shadow Glass Design“, combining transparency, soft reflections, and blur effects reminiscent of polished glass texture.
The dynamic wallpapers automatically adjust to the color of the smartphone (notably that of the Realme GT 8 Pro), creating a visual harmony across the system.
The icons have also been redesigned, featuring a glowing floating effect inspired by ice. Meanwhile, the control center adopts a “frosted glass” appearance, enhancing visual depth and readability.

Lastly, an animated status bar—dubbed the “breathing status bar”—introduces a subtle luminous movement that brings the screen to life.
More Natural Animations with the Flow Light Engine
Under the hood, Realme UI 7.0 integrates a new animation engine, the Flow Light Engine. Built on a fluid architecture, it promises smoother transitions without stuttering or interruptions, even when rapidly switching between apps.
A dynamic frame tracking system ensures performance stability during intensive tasks (gaming, multitasking, video capture), while a Flow Accelerator enhances system responsiveness in six key scenarios:
- opening and closing apps,
- multitasking,
- scrolling,
- gestures,
- visual transitions,
- interactions with the home screen.
More Customizable “Inspiration” Desktop
Realme is also introducing a new home screen called Inspiration Desktop. Users can now freely resize app icons into multiple formats (1×2, 2×1, or 2×2), allowing for a more ergonomic and personalized workspace.
Smart Window: Up to 12 Floating Apps
Another major upgrade is the Smart Window feature, which allows for up to twelve floating apps to run simultaneously.
This means you can reply to a message, watch a video, or view a document without leaving your main game or app.
The goal is clear: to provide maximum productivity and seamless multitasking on mobile, without sacrificing performance.
