OxygenOS 16: Here is the deployment schedule, is your OnePlus eligible for the Android 16 update?
OnePlus has unveiled OxygenOS 16, its latest overlay based on Android 16. This major update introduces a host of AI-enhanced features, a visual redesign with smoother animations, and enhanced customization for lock screens.
All of this is powered by the new “OnePlus Flow Motion” animation engine, which promises a more fluid and immersive experience.
Major New Features of OxygenOS 16
Among the notable changes:
- More Mind and Mind Space: an integrated organization AI that groups all your content on-screen into a smart central hub, making it easier to manage notes, screenshots, and files.
- New OnePlus Flow Motion engine: for ultra-smooth transitions and visual effects at 120 Hz.
- Dynamic widgets: weather, tasks, music, and health, inspired by the minimalist design of Material You.
- Customized lock screen: new clock styles, dynamic fonts, and photo filters for the always-on display.
- Optimized performance: improved app launch speeds and more efficient RAM management.
Official Deployment Schedule for OxygenOS 16
The OxygenOS 16 update will start rolling out in November 2025, initially for the OnePlus 13 series, before gradually becoming available for previous models and tablets.

- OnePlus Pad 3/Pad 2
Starting December 2025:
- OnePlus 11 5G/11R 5G
- OnePlus Nord 5/Nord CE5
- OnePlus Nord 4
- OnePlus Nord 3 5G
In the first quarter of 2026:
- OnePlus 10 Pro 5G
- OnePlus Nord CE4/CE4 Lite 5G
- OnePlus Pad/Pad Lite
The rollout will occur in waves, so depending on your region, the update may take a few days to arrive.
To manually check for availability, go to: Settings > System & updates > Software update > Check for updates.
Before Installing OxygenOS 16
- Ensure you have at least 5 to 6 GB of free space on your device.
- Make sure your battery has at least 40% charge before starting the installation.
- Back up your important data before proceeding with the installation.
What if your OnePlus is not on the list?
