OPPO Reno 15 Pro Max: The Upcoming Flagship of the Reno Series Expected with a 200 Megapixel Sensor
As OPPO prepares to launch the Find X9 series on October 16 in China, the Chinese brand is already gearing up for the next release: the Reno 15 series, which is anticipated to debut in November 2025 in its home market.
This time, the Reno lineup will not just include two models—standard and Pro—as seen in previous generations. According to a new report from SmartPrix, a third, more premium variant will be introduced: the OPPO Reno 15 Pro Max.
OPPO Reno 15 Pro Max: Technical Specifications
The OPPO Reno 15 Pro Max will likely feature a flat 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1 Hz to 120 Hz. This promises a smooth and energy-efficient display, comparable to high-end models like the Find X8 Pro.
Under the hood, it will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400—the same chipset that fueled the Find X8v and Find X8 Pro in 2024. This platform promises top-tier performance with improved energy efficiency and a GPU optimized for artificial intelligence and computational photography.
As is often the case with the Reno lineup, photography will be a major selling point for the Reno 15 Pro Max. The smartphone is expected to feature a triple camera setup driven by OPPO’s LUMO Imaging technology:
- Primary sensor: 200 megapixels (Samsung ISOCELL HP5) with optical image stabilization (OIS),
- Periscope telephoto lens: 50 megapixels,
- Ultra-wide angle lens for landscapes.
On the front, selfie enthusiasts will benefit from a 50-megapixel sensor, a resolution rarely seen in this segment.
Battery and Connectivity
The Reno 15 Pro Max is expected to be equipped with a 6,500 mAh battery, which is above the current average for premium smartphones. While details about charging speed are still unconfirmed, we can anticipate a rapid charging capability of at least 100 W, similar to the latest models from the brand.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone is likely to support Wi-Fi 7, NFC, and compatibility with the latest 5G networks. It will run on Android 16 with OPPO’s latest ColorOS 16 interface.
Expected Launch Date and Pricing
The OPPO Reno 15 series, including the Reno 15 Pro Max, is expected to be unveiled in China by the end of 2025. An international release (including in India and Europe) is anticipated in the first quarter of 2026.
In France, the Reno 15 Pro Max is expected to be priced around €600.
