OPPO Reno 15 Pro Max : an unprecedented model with a 200-megapixel sensor in preparation

The OPPO Reno 15 series is set to be more ambitious than ever. According to new leaks published on Weibo by renowned informant Digital Chat Station (DCS), OPPO is preparing a brand new model called Reno 15 Pro Max, which will join the anticipated Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro versions in China.

OPPO Reno 15: Three Models, Three Screen Sizes

According to DCS, the Reno 15 lineup will feature three variations with different screen sizes:

  • 6.31 inches for the Reno 15,
  • 6.59 inches for the Reno 15 Pro,
  • 6.78 inches for the Reno 15 Pro Max.

The latter is expected to be the most high-end of the trio, featuring a flat LTPO OLED display with ultra-slim and perfectly symmetrical edges, displaying a 1.5K resolution. The device will include a metal chassis and a large battery compatible with wireless charging.

A 200-Megapixel Samsung HP5 Main Sensor

In terms of photography, the Reno 15 Pro Max will feature a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 main sensor, supported by two Samsung JN5 sensors dedicated to ultra-wide and periscope zoom photography.

OPPO is clearly placing emphasis on photography and design, with the processor not being marketed as the main selling point of the phone. According to a previous leak, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC and equipped with a 6,500 mAh battery—a remarkable figure for a model with such slender dimensions.

Reno 15 Pro: More Compact but Just as Ambitious

The Reno 15 Pro, on the other hand, is expected to feature approximately a 6.5-inch display, also in 1.5K resolution, with ultra-symmetrical edges and a sleek design. It will include the Samsung HP5 200-megapixel sensor, this time paired with a new GP module to enhance sharpness and photo performance.

Despite its slender profile, it too will house a high-capacity battery.

Expected Release in November

The OPPO Reno 15 series is expected to be announced in November in China, followed by a global launch in the first quarter of 2026 for the Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro models.

The Reno 15 Pro Max, however, might remain a Chinese exclusive, at least initially.

With this trio, OPPO reaffirms its commitment to advancing mobile photography, while refining design and endurance—strategies that clearly aim to compete with the upcoming Xiaomi 18 and Honor 500 Pro in the premium segment.
