Oppo Find N6: a design thinner than 4.2 mm and a battery of over 6,000 mAh

OPPO Find N6: A Design Thinner Than 4.2 mm and a Battery Over 6,000 mAh

The foldable smartphone market is experiencing a relatively calm phase, but this could soon change. While Samsung is preparing the Galaxy Z Fold 8 for summer 2026 and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is already available, OPPO is set to make waves with the Find N6 — a device that may redefine the “book-style” foldable format.

OPPO Find N6: Even Thinner Than the Find N5?

The Find N5 had already wowed everyone with its ultra-slim design — only 4.2 mm thick when unfolded. However, according to a recent leak from well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, the Find N6 may be even thinner and lighter than its predecessor.

It’s hard to imagine this when you consider that the N5 had a chassis only slightly thicker than a USB-C port, but OPPO seems determined to push the physical limits of what a foldable can be.

According to the leak, the Find N6 could feature:

  • An internal display greater than 8.1 inches, compared to 7.92 inches on the N5,
  • An external display approximately 6.6 inches, larger than that of its predecessor.

The smartphone would therefore be larger but slimmer, a remarkable engineering feat if verified.

Under the Hood: The Power of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Internally, the Find N6 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s most powerful chip to date. This promises top-tier performance in multitasking, productivity, and 3D gaming.

In terms of battery, OPPO aims for a capacity greater than 6,000 mAh, a significant increase from the N5’s 5,600 mAh. If confirmed, the Find N6 would be the foldable with the longest battery life on the market, without compromising its slimness.

Even More Ambitious Camera Sensors

The camera setup, already strong on the Find N5, is set to improve:

  • Primary sensor Sony LYT808 (1/1.4″) — larger and brighter than the 1/1.56” of the N5.
  • 50 MP periscope telephoto lens offering optical zoom between 3.5x and 3.7x.
  • Multispectral sensor for better color reproduction and skin tones.

OPPO appears to want to make the Find N6 the most complete foldable in terms of photography, able to compete with traditional models like the vivo X300 Pro or the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Charging, Ergonomics, and Finishing Touches

Other anticipated improvements include:

  • Wireless charging,
  • Customizable side buttons,
  • Side-mounted fingerprint sensor,
  • Reinforced chassis, despite reduced thickness.

These additions reflect an effort to make the device more practical and durable, two essential criteria for a foldable.

A Technological Marvel (And Likely a Luxury)

With such a concentration of innovations — ultra-slim design, larger displays, massive battery, cutting-edge camera sensors, and powerful processor — the Find N6 is unlikely to be cheap.

However, OPPO seems to be aiming for an absolute premium positioning, willing to challenge Samsung on its own turf. If the Find N6 lives up to its promises, it could become the new benchmark for foldable smartphones, combining elegance, power, and battery life.

According to current leaks, the OPPO Find N6 is expected to be officially announced in the first quarter of 2026 — likely between January and March. OPPO seems keen to prove that a foldable can be ultra-thin, powerful, and durable at the same time. If the Find N6 delivers on its promises, it could very well become the most advanced foldable on the market — and reignite competition in a sector that has stagnated for several months.
