OnePlus 15T: The Future Compact Smartphone Will Feature a 7,000 mAh Battery
Just after the launch of the OnePlus 15 in China, which is set for a global rollout in November, the brand is already working on its next high-end smartphone.
This time, it appears to be a more compact model aimed at those who miss powerful small-sized phones.
A OnePlus 15T in Development for 2026
According to the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, OnePlus is currently developing a smartphone with a smaller display, equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This model is expected to be the direct successor to the OnePlus 13T (and its Asian version, the 13s), and may be called OnePlus 15T internationally.

The launch is expected in the first half of 2026, likely in the spring.
Initial reports suggest that the OnePlus 15T will boast a flat 6.31-inch display featuring 1.5K LTPS OLED resolution, with thin and perfectly symmetrical bezels, an IP68 rating (water and dust resistance), a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and a battery in testing around 7,000 mAh according to prototypes.
These specifications would place the OnePlus 15T among the most powerful flagships on the market while remaining more compact than a Galaxy Ultra or an iPhone Pro Max.
Battery Life to Match?
An interesting — and perhaps surprising — aspect is the potentially massive battery: OnePlus is testing capacities exceeding 7,000 mAh, which would be unprecedented for a smartphone of this size. If confirmed, the OnePlus 15T could become the most enduring compact device on the market.
No specific details have leaked regarding the camera module yet. The previous 13T was criticized for lacking an ultra-wide-angle sensor. Therefore, we expect that the OnePlus 15T will address this gap and offer a complete camera trio, more in line with 2026’s high-end standards.
A Global Release? It’s Uncertain
The OnePlus 13T remained exclusive to China, while the 13s was only sold in India. Many hope that OnePlus will change its strategy in 2026 and finally offer its compact flagship internationally, especially in Europe.
Despite nostalgia for smaller phones, sales data shows that most consumers prefer larger screens and bigger batteries. However, for enthusiasts of compact devices without sacrificing power, the OnePlus 15T could very well become the ideal smartphone — provided it finally leaves China.
