OnePlus 15: a leak reveals a price lower than expected, despite flagship specs

OnePlus 15: A Leak Reveals a Lower Price Than Expected, Despite Flagship Specs

The OnePlus 15 is approaching its launch date, with its debut in China expected on October 27. A new leak has shed light on one of the most anticipated aspects: its price.

Surprisingly, the upcoming flagship from OnePlus may be more affordable than its predecessor.

OnePlus 15: A Price Lower Than the OnePlus 13

The well-known leaker Arsène Lupin revealed on X the price of the OnePlus 15 in the UK: £949 for the 16GB/512GB version — approximately €1,090.

For comparison, the OnePlus 13 with the same configuration was priced at £999, which is around €60 more. If this reduction is confirmed, the OnePlus 15 could once again become one of the most competitive flagships in the premium market.

The price of the 256GB version remains unknown, but if the trend continues, it might be offered around £849 (approximately €980).

Top-Level Performance

The OnePlus 15 does not compromise on performance:

  • Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5,
  • 7,300 mAh battery,
  • 120W wired and 50W wireless fast charging,
  • 165Hz 1.5K OLED display,
  • and a triple 50-megapixel camera setup with 3.5x periscope zoom.

OnePlus is also focusing on its new DetailMax imaging engine, developed in-house to replace Hasselblad’s calibration. All this runs on OxygenOS 16, the latest version of their interface.

A Strategy Inspired by the Chinese Market

According to several reports, OnePlus aims to win back gamers and power users by drawing inspiration from the success of the iQOO 13 in China. The brand has reduced the screen resolution (from 2K to 1.5K) to better control costs while providing more battery life and power at a lower price point.

The global launch of the OnePlus 15 is expected in mid-November, possibly on November 13, though no official date has been confirmed yet.

The OnePlus 15 ticks all the boxes of a flagship killer:

  • extreme power,
  • record battery,
  • promising photography,
  • and now, a more attractive price than expected.

If these rumors are confirmed, OnePlus could return to its roots and challenge Apple and Samsung in the premium segment.
