In fact, the Galaxy S26 has shared its potential presentation and release dates. While we await official confirmation from Samsung, Android Authority discovered Now Nudges after analyzing files from the update that has not yet been released. The feature bears a resemblance to Magic Cue, a similar tool introduced by Google with its Pixel 10 lineup.

One UI 8.5 offers these three features with Now Nudges

Now Nudges is based on Galaxy AI and learns from your daily habits to anticipate information needs before they are even expressed. There are three major features that accompany this new AI functionality:

  • The first feature is called Recall Important Info, which acts as a personal digital memory. This feature automatically retrieves relevant items from conversations, screenshots, and other data stored on the smartphone. Contextual reminders appear at the right moment when information may be useful, sparing users from having to search for it themselves.
  • Fill Out Forms Easily is the second addition of Now Nudges. This feature learns from forms filled out on websites and applications to suggest automatic completions. Initially, One UI 8.5 will limit this feature to services like DoorDash, Expedia, Market Kurly, and Trip.com, with potential future expansion to other platforms.
  • Get Things Done Quickly is the third addition of Now Nudges. Galaxy AI analyzes the content displayed on the screen to suggest relevant actions. For instance, if someone sends you an address, One UI 8.5 will suggest opening Google Maps. If you’re reading a text in a foreign language, translation will also be proposed.

Messaging apps and other social networks will benefit from the features of Now Nudges. Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp are among the supported platforms upon launch, according to Android Authority. It is believed that the Gemini Nano model will power all of these features. However, Samsung has not officially confirmed the presence of this underlying software architecture.

When Will the One UI 8.5 Beta Be Launched?

We will learn more during the launch of the One UI 8.5 beta program, which could open for registrations before the end of 2025. Users will then be able to test these new features prior to their public rollout.

The Galaxy S26 is expected to come with One UI 8.5 pre-installed. Reports suggest that the lineup will be available between February and March 2026. As indicated by its name, this will be a minor update compared to One UI 7 or One UI 8, serving as an intermediate version that introduces some welcome new features.
