Honor is reportedly planning a major double launch for the end of 2025
The Chinese brand Honor is determined to wrap up the year on a high note. According to a recent leak, the company is preparing two series of smartphones for the end of 2025: the Honor GT 2 and Honor 500.
These two lines are expected to be unveiled by December, although no official date has been confirmed yet.
Honor GT 2: Raw Power and Record Battery Life
The Honor GT 2 series will logically succeed the GT series from 2024, with two models anticipated: a standard Honor GT 2 and an Honor GT 2 Pro. The latter may feature a massive 9,000 mAh battery, up from 7,200 mAh on its predecessor—an improvement made possible by silicon-carbon battery technology, which provides higher energy density without adding weight to the chassis.
In terms of performance, the Honor GT 2 is expected to utilize a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, while the GT 2 Pro will upgrade to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s most advanced chip.
A powerful configuration with up to 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage is also rumored, according to various leaks.
Honor 500: Photography First
The Honor 500 series will continue to focus on high-end photography.
The Honor 500 Pro model is expected to feature a primary 200-megapixel sensor with a 1/1.4-inch size, paired with a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom.
The ultra-wide-angle specifications remain unknown for now.
Under the hood, it will likely also include the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, similar to the Honor GT 2 Pro, and both models will sport a 6.5-inch 1.5K display.
Two Launches to End the Year
According to leaker Digital Chat Station, Honor is targeting a simultaneous reveal in December 2025, but the company has yet to confirm anything.
If this materializes, the double launch would mark one of the most ambitious years for Honor since its separation from Huawei.
