Honor Magic 8 and 8 Pro: 7,000 mAh battery, 200-megapixel sensor and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
Honor is set to unveil its new generation of high-end smartphones. The Honor Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro will be officially presented on October 15 in China, and the latest leaks from Bald Panda on Weibo reveal almost complete specifications — this time correcting details regarding the periscope camera and wireless charging for the standard model.
Honor Magic 8: Power and Thinness for Endurance
According to the latest information, the Honor Magic 8 measures 157 x 74 x 7.9 mm and weighs around 205 grams. Beneath its elegant exterior, it houses a massive 7,000 mAh battery, compatible with 90W wired charging and 80W wireless charging — a rare combination for a “non-Pro” model.
On the display front, it features a 6.58-inch flat OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and a smooth refresh rate. It will run on MagicOS 10, based on Android 16, promising a sleek software experience enhanced by artificial intelligence.

Triple Camera Module with Periscope Sensor
On the front, the Magic 8 features a 50-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, the three sensors include a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, likely based on the OmniVision OV64B sensor.
This ambitious configuration for a base model brings the Magic 8 in line with many competing flagships in terms of photography.
Honor Magic 8 Pro: Heavy-Duty Specs
The Magic 8 Pro follows the design of the standard model but enhances every aspect. Its more substantial chassis (161 x 75 x 8.3 mm, 219 g) is expected to contain a 7,200 mAh battery, supported by ultra-fast 120W charging and the same 80W wireless charging.
The screen, slightly larger, will feature a 6.71-inch micro-quad-curved OLED display, still with a 1.5K resolution, offering an immersive and premium viewing experience.
A Camera System Designed for Professionals
The Magic 8 Pro will have a 50-megapixel front sensor, while the rear consists of a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and notably, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, positioning the smartphone among the best for mobile photography.
Honor clearly aims to attract photography enthusiasts who can leverage this exceptional zoom feature.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Premium Finishes
Both models will feature the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, ensuring top-tier performance for multitasking, gaming, and computational photography.
They will be available in four elegant colors: black, white, gold, and blue.
A Titan Showdown Awaits at Year’s End
With these two models, Honor aims to assert its technological prowess against competitors such as Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo. The Magic 8 Pro, in particular, seems designed to challenge the most ambitious flagships of 2025, thanks to its oversized battery, 200-megapixel sensor, and ultra-fast charging capabilities.
Stay tuned for the official presentation on October 15 in China — ahead of a likely global launch in early 2026.
