Honor Earbuds 4: Noise cancellation up to 50 dB and 46 hours of battery life
During a significant event in China, Honor unveiled several new products, including the Magic 8, MagicPad 3, and now the Earbuds 4, a new pair of wireless earbuds with a particularly competitive price-to-performance ratio.
The Honor Earbuds 4 are priced at 399 yuan (approximately 50 euros), and pre-orders are already open in China.
Honor Earbuds 4: A Dual-Driver Acoustic Design
The Earbuds 4 feature a dual dynamic driver architecture, combining:
- an 11 mm driver for low frequencies,
- and a 6 mm driver for highs.
Both drivers use a titanium diaphragm, ensuring better responsiveness and more accurate sound reproduction. Honor promises powerful bass, clear mids, and more detailed highs, thanks in part to the dual-magnet structure of the high-frequency driver that enhances sensitivity and sound clarity.
Design and Comfort
Each earbud weighs only 5.3 g and features soft, hypoallergenic silicone tips. The design, with a mix of matte and glossy finishes, resembles the Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro, presenting an elegant and premium appearance.
The Honor Earbuds 4 are available in two colors: Pearl White and Starry Black.
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) up to 50 dB
The Earbuds 4 include a three-microphone noise cancellation system capable of reducing ambient noise by up to 50 dB. Three levels of ANC are available: Deep, Moderate, and Light, depending on the environment.
Two transparency modes are also available:
- Ambient Mode: to safely hear outside sounds,
- Voice Mode: to amplify conversations in noisy environments.
Crisp Calls Thanks to AI
The Earbuds 4 utilize a deep learning artificial intelligence algorithm to isolate voice during calls. This technology notably reduces wind noise up to 6 m/s, ensuring clear calls even outdoors.
Up to 46 Hours of Battery Life
In terms of endurance, the earbuds offer up to 9 hours of listening time on a single charge, and up to 46 hours with the charging case. Quick charging allows for 3 hours of playback in just 10 minutes, via USB-C.
The Earbuds 4 also feature an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The earbuds support touch controls (volume, playback, ANC), wear detection, and quick connection with HONOR smartphones via automatic pop-up.
They are compatible with HarmonyOS, Android, and iOS, and have a low-latency gaming mode. The HONOR Smart Space app allows users to customize the equalizer (EQ), monitor battery levels, and even locate the earbuds using Find My Earbuds.
