After the global buzz created by Nano Banana’s hyper-realistic mini-figurines last summer, Google returns with a radically improved version: Nano Banana Pro.
Built on Gemini 3 Pro Image, this new model sets the bar incredibly high with studio-quality visuals, impeccable text rendering, and advanced editing tools that transform generative images into a true creative workshop.
A new generation of AI images grounded in real-world knowledge
Nano Banana Pro is more than just a simple image model: it includes advanced understanding, reasoning, and multilingual capabilities of Gemini 3 Pro. The result is more coherent visuals, credible compositions, and especially contextual creations that can utilize real-time data (weather, sports, trends…) thanks to integration with Google Search.
Google highlights the model’s ability to produce complete infographics, diagrams, posters, or invitations with integrated text—an area where AI had previously struggled massively just a few months ago.
A finally mastered text rendering: slogans, paragraphs, and multilingual
One of the significant leaps of this generation is that Nano Banana Pro can render text that is readable, precise, and stable directly within the image—whether it’s a short title or an entire paragraph.
Thanks to the deep reasoning capabilities of Gemini 3, the generation works in multiple languages, paving the way for instant posters, flyers, mockups, or presentations without endless manual touch-ups.
Complex compositions: up to 14 images and 5 coherent faces
Where the previous edition sometimes struggled to maintain aesthetic coherence, Nano Banana Pro expands the realm of possibilities:
- Merging up to 14 images into a single scene,
- Consistency and resemblance for up to 5 people,
- Better management of angles, depths, and perspectives.
This functionality is ideal for creative montages, storyboards, or marketing compositions.
A complete creative studio: local edits, angles, bokeh, lighting…
Nano Banana Pro also stands out with its advanced editing toolbox.
You can now:
- Precisely select an element,
- Modify the focus,
- Change the camera angle,
- Add bokeh,
- Recolor,
- Or transform a day scene into night.
Creations can be exported in 2K or 4K and in various aspect formats.
A safer AI: C2PA metadata and enhanced detection
All images generated or edited through Nano Banana Pro come with C2PA metadata—a standard that facilitates the identification of AI-generated content and combats deepfakes.
Google is also enhancing SynthID, its detection tool, which will soon allow identification of AI-generated audio and video. Free and Pro users will retain a visible watermark, while Ultra subscribers can generate images without a watermarked version.
Where to try Nano Banana Pro?
The model is available today, free and globally, via the Gemini app by selecting Create Images -> Reasoning, globally on NotebookLM, and Search AI Mode (in the US, for AI Pro & Ultra subscribers).
Google will also integrate Nano Banana Pro into Google Slides & Google Vids (Workspace), Google Ads, Gemini API & Google AI Studio, Vertex AI, Google Antigravity, Google Flow (AI Ultra), and soon Gemini Enterprise.
Users will be able to switch between Nano Banana (quick for small edits) and Nano Banana Pro (for complex compositions).
A major step for generative imagery
Nano Banana Pro is not just an update: it’s a reinvention. With impeccable text rendering, precise local editing, multi-person coherence, and real-time knowledge integration, Google clearly demonstrates its intention to establish itself as a leader in versatile generative imagery.
This tool, as powerful as it is playful, could very well become the creative reference for designers, communicators, and all curious users.
