Windows 11 is a highly popular operating system among gamers, even though most games now run on Linux. The graphics card manufacturer is therefore deploying a fix that is already available.

Install This Update If You Have An NVIDIA Graphics Card On Windows 11

If you installed the Windows Update from October, you may be affected. NVIDIA explains that the update from last month, identified as KB5066835, is causing problems, as well as the November update KB5068861. This specifically affects portable gaming consoles like the ASUS Xbox ROG Ally, as noted by Windows Latest. For clarity, the impacted PCs are those running Windows 11 version 24H2, 26200.689 or version 25H2, 26100.689.

NVIDIA has therefore made a hotfix driver available on a dedicated page. Simply visit that page and click on “Click here” at the bottom to download the file. The installation process is straightforward, much like adding a driver to your PC. After installation, your games should run without issues, and performance drops should be eliminated, or so we hope for you. If the problems persist, we may have to wait for another fix.
