iOS 26.2 launches its third beta, currently available only to developers. The Cupertino company continues its efforts to refine its operating system, which introduced the Liquid Glass interface last September. Here’s what this interim version will offer.
iOS 26.2 is installed on the majority of compatible iPhones. Apple continues to enhance this version, having recently launched iOS 26.1. Now, it’s time for iOS 26.2 and its beta for developers. Users can expect many adjustments, particularly regarding the Measure app, AirDrop, and Reminders. Overall, it’s great news for iOS 26 users, which also introduced adaptive charging for compatible iPhones.
Here are all the new features of beta 3 of iOS 26.2
The standout feature is the addition of a temporary AirDrop code. This functionality allows iPhone users to share files with individuals not in their contacts without setting AirDrop to “Everyone.” A unique code is generated, keeping both smartphones visible to each other for 30 days. Users can revoke this connection through Settings, then General, then AirDrop, and finally Manage Contacts.
Apple is also adjusting sleep scores. The various rating categories have been revised in response to feedback. Users felt that the displayed results were too generous, for example, the Excellent rating has been replaced with Very High.

The Apple Podcasts app now uses AI to automatically create chapters, highlight episodes, etc. Meanwhile, Apple News receives a much cleaner interface, with quick shortcuts to popular sections.
The opacity of the clock can be adjusted with greater precision via a new slider for the Liquid Glass lock screen. The Measure app also features redesigned numbers in the Liquid Glass style.
Other significant new features with iOS 26.2
For CarPlay users, iOS 26.2 adds an option to hide pinned conversations in the Messages app. Additionally, users can set urgent tasks in the Reminders app to trigger alarms and timers even when Focus mode is activated. Important alerts will no longer go unnoticed, even when notifications are filtered on the iPhone.
Apple also enables access to hypertension notifications for third-party apps. Medical applications will now be able to read alerts coming from the Apple Watch once authorized by the user. This integration makes Apple health data much more accessible across other ecosystems.
The Games app features a new home screen that highlights upcoming features, such as improved controller navigation, real-time updates for challenge scores, and enhanced filtering for the game library. Apple aims to enhance the local gaming experience on the iPhone.
