Honor 500 Pro: Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Confirmed
The Geekbench 6.3 database shows that the device is powered by the Qualcomm SM8735 SoC, which features:
- a main core clocked at 3.21 GHz,
- an Adreno 825 GPU,
- and a four-cluster configuration.
These specifications confirm that this is indeed the Snapdragon 8 s Gen 4, rather than the Snapdragon 8 Elite as some rumors suggested. In terms of performance, the smartphone achieved 2,113 points in single-core tests and 6,539 points in multi-core tests, indicating solid scores for a mid-high-range device.

Display and Design
According to previous leaks, the Honor 500 Pro will feature a flat 6.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1.5K. The significant new visual element is the horizontal camera module, a design hinted at by leaker Digital Chat Station and inspired by the Pixel and iPhone Air.
The Honor 500 Pro is expected to have an impressive triple sensor setup, including a 200-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an ultra-wide angle lens, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, the OmniVision OV64B. The standard model, Honor 500 (MEP-AN00), will likely retain a dual camera setup with the 200-megapixel sensor, excluding the periscope.
Both models are anticipated to feature a generous battery compatible with 100W fast charging, a significant advantage for this range.
Launch and Availability
According to information from Weibo, the Honor 500 series is expected to be officially presented in China before the end of October. Currently, there is no confirmation regarding an international release, although Honor may announce a global version by the end of the year.
With its updated design, powerful Snapdragon 8 s Gen 4 chip, and 200-megapixel triple camera, the Honor 500 Pro is poised to be a formidable competitor against the upcoming OPPO Reno 15 Pro and Vivo S50 Pro.
It remains to be seen whether Honor will decide to market it internationally—such a move could position it as one of the best performance-to-price ratios in the premium segment of 2025.
