Galaxy A57: Samsung’s new smartphone is already in internal testing

Samsung appears to be working on a successor to one of its most popular mid-range smartphones. The Galaxy A57 has been spotted on the company’s internal testing servers, confirming that a new model in the A series is definitely in development.

Here’s what we know so far.

The Galaxy A57 appears on Samsung’s test server

A new device bearing the model number SM-A576B has been identified on Samsung’s internal servers. It is likely the upcoming Galaxy A57, currently under testing with its first internal software version: A576BXXU0AYJ7/A576BOXM0AYJ7/A576BXXU0AYJ7.

An X user shared a screenshot of this database, leaving little doubt about the device’s identity. In short, the Galaxy A57 has officially entered its internal testing phase, indicating that its launch could happen in the coming months.

A direct successor to the Galaxy A56

The Galaxy A56, launched earlier this year, has established itself as a solid representative of Samsung’s mid-range lineup, offering a good balance of performance, battery life, and display quality. The Galaxy A57 will logically replace it, with incremental improvements rather than a complete overhaul.

The first mentions of the Galaxy A57 date back to August 2025, when it was spotted on Geekbench, revealing a new Exynos processor.

A new Exynos processor on board

The Geekbench listing indicated the presence of an Exynos S5E8865 SoC, which could correspond to the new Exynos 1680. This in-house processor, a successor to the Exynos 1480, is expected to deliver better CPU/GPU performance, improved energy efficiency, and enhanced support for AI and 5G connectivity.

While Samsung has yet to confirm anything, rumors and the logic of the A series suggest the following specifications:

  • Approximately 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate,
  • 5,000 mAh battery,
  • 45 W fast charging,
  • 50-megapixel main camera (likely the same ISOCELL sensor as the A56),
  • Subdued design with finishes similar to the Galaxy A55/A56.

Samsung is prioritizing continuity and reliability over radical change—an approach that has fueled the success of the A series.

Expected launch

Given its current stage of internal testing, the Galaxy A57 could be officially announced by the first quarter of 2026, or even late 2025 if development progresses swiftly. The Galaxy A57 may not revolutionize the segment, but it promises to refine a well-established formula: premium design, good display, solid battery life, and stable performance.

With a more powerful Exynos and a smooth display, Samsung aims to solidify its leadership in the smartphone market for devices priced under 500 euros.
