Huawei is gearing up for a busy November as it prepares to make a strong push in the foldable smartphone market. According to renowned leaker Digital Chat Station, the Chinese brand plans to unveil the Huawei Mate X7 in November, likely alongside the highly anticipated Mate 80 series.
This upcoming model promises to combine an ultra-slim design, powerful in-house specifications, and innovative photography features. According to the source, the Mate X7—internally codenamed Delphi—is nearing the final testing phase.
Display and Design: Thinner, Lighter, More Immersive
The Huawei Mate X7 is expected to feature a 7.95-inch foldable display with near 2K resolution. It will utilize several cutting-edge technologies:
- COE (Colour-on-Encapsulation) for richer colors and better contrast,
- LTPO (Low Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) for adaptive refresh rates and improved battery life,
- UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) for a more durable surface and smoother folding experience.
Huawei aims for an even thinner and lighter design compared to the Mate X6, while also enhancing the hinge durability and tactile experience.
Performance: Kirin 9030 Inside
Under the hood, the Mate X7 will reportedly house the Kirin 9030 chip, which is also expected to feature in the Mate 80 Pro. This next-generation processor promises significant gains in energy efficiency and AI processing.
