One UI 8.5, Samsung’s custom skin based on Android 16, is set to introduce exciting new features for the Pro mode of the camera. According to the code from the latest pre-beta version, users will be able to save custom presets for quick switching between them.
Manual adjustments are out with One UI 8.5, which will be natively available with the Galaxy S26. This is a long-requested feature by Galaxy smartphone owners for better control.
Samsung Finally Enhances The Pro Mode Of Galaxy With One UI 8.5
Users will be able to create profiles tailored for various situations such as low-light portraits, daytime landscapes, etc. At this time, we don’t know how many presets can be saved, but regardless, this is a welcome addition for photography enthusiasts.
Here’s what users will be able to manage in settings with One UI 8.5:
- Focus type: manual or automatic
- ISO sensitivity
- Kelvin value
- Manual color adjustments (saturation, contrast, highlights, shadows)
- Shutter speed
- White balance
- Focal length
- Exposure
This new feature goes even further, as One UI 8.5 allows users to create presets for each camera lens on the smartphone. Lines of code indicate the ability to manage configurations for telephoto, super-wide, primary wide-angle, ultra-wide, and even the front camera. Samsung is well aware that each sensor has unique characteristics that require optimized adjustments.
One UI 8.5 is pushing boundaries further as the update will let AI choose important notifications for you. There’s also talk of being able to share presets via Quick Share. It’s likely that photography experts will be able to share their favorite settings with novices to help them improve.
But how will sharing work between Samsung smartphones that do not have the same camera configurations? Future trial versions of One UI 8.5 are expected to provide more insights on this matter.
