Honor Magic 8 Lite: A new more affordable model spotted online
Honor is preparing to expand its Magic 8 lineup with a more accessible version: the Magic 8 Lite. Following the launch of the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro in China, this new model has appeared on Icecat, a product specification platform, confirming several technical details.
Magic 8 Lite: AMOLED 1.5K Screen and Flat Design
According to the listing, the Magic 8 Lite will feature a 6.79-inch flat AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The smartphone is positioned as a streamlined version of the Magic 8, maintaining the modern format and slim bezels of its flagship counterparts.
On the photography front, Honor appears to have chosen a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 108-megapixel main sensor and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. For selfies, a 16-megapixel front camera will be centrally located in a punch-hole design.
Under the hood, the Magic 8 Lite is expected to house a 7,500 mAh battery, an impressive figure for a mid-range model. The device will support 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and will have a USB-C port. A fingerprint sensor and standard sensors (light, proximity, gravity, gyroscope) are also mentioned.
The smartphone will reportedly be available only in Midnight Black, weighing 189 g and measuring 161.9 × 76.1 × 7.76 mm.
Confirmed Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 and Android 15

The Google Play Console confirms the inclusion of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 (SM6650) processor. In terms of memory, the Magic 8 Lite is expected to offer configurations of 8 or 12 GB of RAM, paired with 256 or 512 GB of storage. The device will run on MagicOS 9, based on Android 15.
The Magic 8 Lite will complement the lineup alongside the Magic 8 and Magic 8 Pro, both equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and top-tier specifications:
- triple camera setup,
- IP68/IP69 certification,
- and batteries reaching 7,200 mAh.
With this “Lite” model, Honor seems to aim to provide a more affordable alternative without compromising on battery life or essential performance.
