Samsung prepares its first tri-fold smartphone: towards a new era of foldable mobiles
In a rapidly evolving foldable smartphone market, Samsung Electronics is poised to take a significant step forward with its first tri-fold device, which is already being referred to as the Galaxy Z Tri-Fold.
While competitors like Huawei have already showcased prototypes (notably the Mate XTs), industry observers expect Samsung to address the shortcomings that have hindered broader adoption of these devices: limited multitasking, fragile durability, and imperfect interfaces.
Galaxy Z Tri-Fold: A Tri-Fold Design Tailored for Productivity
The Galaxy Z Tri-Fold would unfold to reveal a large tablet-like display, enabling users to run multiple applications simultaneously. According to Android Central, Samsung is developing a new “zero crease” hinge, inspired by that of the Z Fold, to eliminate any marks at the center of the screen.

The success of this format will also depend on the software experience. Samsung is reportedly preparing a special version of One UI that includes:
