Since the rollout of Gemini Live on Android and iPhone, Google has continued to enhance the platform with new features. Soon, an audio option that users have long requested will be added.
According to Android Authority, version 16.42.61.sa.arm64 of the Google app conceals a mute button. This new control will allow users to turn off the microphone during a conversation with Gemini Live while still hearing the AI’s responses. The best part is that the microphone can be reactivated at any time without restarting the session.
In noisy environments like a bustling café or on the street, Gemini Live could easily mistake surrounding sounds for voice commands. This mute button addresses a significant issue of comfort and precision. With this update, Google aims to make Gemini Live more natural, practical, and comprehensive.
