OPPO Find X9s: A Premium Compact with a Giant 7,000 mAh Battery in Preparation

Just as the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro were revealed, the first rumors about the next models in the series have already begun to surface. According to reliable leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS), OPPO is already working on the Find X9s, a premium compact device that will feature a battery of over 7,000 mAh.

Last April, OPPO launched several variants within the Find X8 lineup:

  • Find X8 Ultra,
  • Find X8s, a compact model,
  • and Find X8s+, an enhanced version of the X8.

By following this pace, the brand is expected to unveil the Find X9 Ultra, Find X9s, and Find X9s+ as early as April 2026, further expanding its premium lineup.

“No 7000, no flagship”: OPPO’s New Mantra

During the launch of the Find X9, OPPO declared its new slogan: “In 2025, no 7000, no flagship.” This means that all future premium models must now include a battery of 7,000 mAh or more.

According to DCS, the Find X9 Ultra will naturally adhere to this guideline, but the surprise comes with the Find X9s — designed as a compact model — which will also benefit from this substantial battery capacity.

This is an impressive advancement for a smartphone that is meant to remain slim and lightweight.

A Significant Upgrade from the Find X8s

For reference, the Find X8s featured a 6.32-inch display, the Dimensity 9400+ processor, and a 5,700 mAh battery. The upcoming Find X9s will represent a significant leap in battery life, likely accompanied by a new Dimensity 9500+ SoC, an overclocked version of the 9500 already used in several recent flagship devices.

In terms of photography, DCS indicates that the test prototype will maintain the design of the Find X9, with a similar camera module and possibly a periscope telephoto lens.

The test engineer observed by the leaker suggests that OPPO will not drastically alter the overall design of the Find X9 series. The focus seems to be on pushing the boundaries of energy efficiency while maintaining a compact form factor, a segment where OPPO currently stands almost alone against Xiaomi and Asus.

What About the Find X9s+?

So far, no information has surfaced regarding a potential Find X9s+. If it materializes, it may adopt the philosophy of the current Find X9 with some hardware optimizations.

However, with a launch anticipated in April 2026, we will have to wait a while longer to learn more.
