OnePlus 15: Monstrous Battery and Lightning Fast Charging Confirmed Before Launch
The OnePlus 15 is set to be a true endurance powerhouse. Just days ahead of its official launch scheduled for October 27 in China (and November internationally), OnePlus has revealed impressive details about the battery and charging capabilities of its upcoming flagship device.
OnePlus 15: A Colossal 7,300 mAh Battery
OnePlus has officially confirmed that the OnePlus 15 will feature a 7,300 mAh battery, a significant upgrade from the 6,000 mAh battery of the OnePlus 13. This represents one of the highest capacities ever seen in a premium smartphone, surpassing even the Xiaomi 17 (7,000 mAh) and coming close to the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max (7,500 mAh).

With such a capacity, the OnePlus 15 promises record battery life — a major advantage over competitors like Apple and Samsung.
Ultra-Fast Charging: 120W Wired and 50W Wireless
Despite its hefty battery, there’s no need to wait hours to recharge the phone. The manufacturer has confirmed wired charging at 120W and wireless charging at 50W, speeds comparable to those of a laptop charger. The only caveat is that you must use the official OnePlus charger and cable.
Third-party accessories will work but at reduced speeds.
Even so, they will still be faster than what Samsung or Apple offer, which max out at 45W and 27W, respectively.
Performance That Measures Up
Under the hood, the OnePlus 15 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, supported by 12 GB of RAM. This configuration has been confirmed through a recent Geekbench listing, where the global model achieved strong benchmark scores.

On the software front, the smartphone will launch with Android 16 and OxygenOS 16, the latest version of the custom interface.
The OnePlus 15 replaces the previous model’s 2K display with a 1.5K OLED screen but gains improved fluidity with a refresh rate of 165 Hz.
This compromise aims to enhance battery life without sacrificing responsiveness, especially during gaming.
In terms of design, OnePlus moves away from the traditional circular camera block on the back to adopt a more modern visual signature. The smartphone will be available in three colors, including a striking pastel blue seen in the official teasers.
And What About Photography?

While nothing is official yet, rumors suggest a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel main sensor, likely featuring an ultra-wide and a telephoto lens. This photo module aligns well with OnePlus’s philosophy: delivering a premium experience without unnecessary embellishments.
With its massive battery, supersonic charging, and reimagined design, the OnePlus 15 could emerge as the most complete flagship of 2025.
Battery life isn’t everything, but OnePlus seems well-positioned to win the power race — without sacrificing style.
