Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro: 7,000 mAh, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 200 Megapixel Camera on the Way

Realme is set to unveil its new flagship smartphones, the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro, at an event scheduled for October 21, 2025, in China.

While the brand has only confirmed a few official details, a new leak from leaker Bald Panda on Weibo has revealed nearly the entire technical specification of both models.

Realme GT 8: A Fluid 2K Display at 144 Hz

Both models are expected to feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with 2K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate, ensuring optimal fluidity for gaming and videos.

According to the leak, the borders should be very thin, following the minimalist design aesthetic that Realme has adopted for its recent flagships.

The standard model is rumored to have a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. Meanwhile, the Realme GT 8 Pro will take it a step further with two 50-megapixel sensors (main and ultra-wide) and a 200-megapixel periscope lens, likely featuring the Samsung HP5 sensor.

Confirmed for the Realme GT 8 Pro is a customizable “camera deco” interchangeable module, although it is unclear if the standard GT 8 will have the same innovation.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a Huge 7,000 mAh Battery

Under the hood, both smartphones will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s latest high-end chip. The standard Realme GT 8 will offer 100 W fast charging, while the Realme GT 8 Pro will support 120 W wired charging, along with 50 W wireless charging.

Both devices will share a massive 7,000 mAh battery, a rare capacity for such slim flagships. The Pro model will also support the 50 W PPS and 44 W UFCS charging protocols, enhancing its compatibility with universal chargers.

Up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of Storage

Both Realme GT 8 models are expected to offer up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage, providing gaming smartphone-level performance.

They will also be the first Realme devices to run on Android 16 with Realme UI 7, the new custom interface.

The Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro will be available in white, blue, and green color options. The GT 8 Pro will have a thickness of 8.2 mm and a weight between 209 and 214 g, depending on the chosen finish.
