OPPO Pad 5: 3K 144 Hz tablet with matte display, Dimensity 9400+, and 10,000 mAh battery

OPPO seized the opportunity of launching its Find X9 series in China to introduce the OPPO Pad 5, a premium tablet designed for both productivity and learning.

Featuring an anti-reflective matte display, a MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor built on a 3 nm process, and a massive 10,420 mAh battery, it clearly aims to compete with the top Android models on the market.

OPPO Pad 5: A Large 3K 144 Hz Display Designed for Comfort

The OPPO Pad 5 boasts a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a 7:5 aspect ratio, offering a resolution of 3000 × 2120 pixels, an adaptive refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 540 Hz. The Soft Light (matte) finish features nano-etching technology that reduces ambient reflections by 97% while enhancing clarity by 22% — a first for OPPO. Furthermore, the screen has TÜV Rheinland certification for visual comfort.

Top Performance with the Dimensity 9400+

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, a high-end processor manufactured using TSMC’s 3 nm process, paired with an Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU. OPPO claims it exceeds 3.05 million points on AnTuTu, delivering performance comparable to top gaming smartphones.

The manufacturer also includes the Tidal Engine for dynamic performance adjustments, along with a Tiangong cooling system that features a heat dissipation surface 39% larger than its predecessor.

ColorOS 16 and Intelligent Tools

The tablet runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, featuring optimizations tailored for multitasking, allowing up to five active windows simultaneously. It also offers seamless multi-device connectivity with OPPO smartphones, along with advanced educational tools — including an intelligent reading mode and enhanced handwriting functions compatible with the OPPO Pencil 2 / 2 Pro.

Cameras, Audio, and Connectivity

The OPPO Pad 5 includes dual 8-megapixel sensors (front and back) capable of recording in 4K at 30 fps, equipped with electronic image stabilization (EIS) and a Super Steady mode in 1080p at 30 fps.

On the audio front, it features a Hi-Res certified USB-C audio port, as well as support for aptX HD, LDAC, and LHDC 5.0 codecs. Connectivity is comprehensive with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB 3.2 Gen 1, and even 5G sharing via a smartphone.

A Large Battery and Ultra-Fast Charging

OPPO equips its tablet with a battery ranging from 10,165 to 10,420 mAh (depending on the version) compatible with 67 W SuperVOOC fast charging. According to the company, just 10 minutes of charging is sufficient for 10 hours of video playback. The tablet also supports various protocols such as UFCS, PPS, and PD, ensuring universal compatibility.

The OPPO Pad 5 will be available in China starting October 22, 2025, with a starting price of 2,599 ¥ (approximately $364) for the 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage version, while the 16 GB + 512 GB model will reach 3,599 ¥, roughly 504 euros.

Additional accessories include the Smart Touch Keyboard for 699 ¥ (~$98), the OPPO Pencil 2 Pro for 499 ¥ (~$70), and the Smart Protective Case for 199 ¥ (~$28).

The OPPO Pad 5 combines a sleek design, innovative matte display, and high-end performance, targeting students and professionals with its integrated productivity tools. It positions itself as a strong alternative to the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, Honor MagicPad 3, and even the Galaxy Tab S9 FE while remaining more affordable than high-end Android or iPad Pro models.
