Honor Magic 8: Complete Specifications Leak Before Official Launch

The suspense will soon be over. Just hours before the scheduled launch on October 15 in China, the complete technical specifications of the Honor Magic 8 have leaked, revealed by renowned informant Digital Chat Station (DCS).

According to these details, Honor is set to make a significant leap forward with its Magic 8 series—both in terms of performance and design.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Record Battery

The Honor Magic 8 is expected to be powered by the all-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s strongest chip to date, manufactured on a 3nm process. It will also boast up to 1TB of storage, confirming that the Magic 8 is aimed at the ultra-premium segment.

On the battery front, the brand aims for maximum endurance:

  • 7,000 mAh battery,
  • 90W wired charging,
  • 80W wireless charging.

These impressive figures come without compromising the smartphone’s sleek design—just 7.95 mm thick and weighing only 205 grams.

An LTPO 1.5K Display for Visual Comfort

The Magic 8 is said to feature a 6.58-inch flat LTPO display, boasting a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Honor includes a PWM panel with a 4320Hz frequency, a major advantage for reducing flicker and providing better eye protection.

The entire system will run on MagicOS 10, based on Android 16, confirming Honor’s commitment to aligning with the latest software versions right from the start.

A Triple-Camera System with 164 Megapixels

For photography, Honor is investing in an ambitious triple-camera system:

  • 50 megapixels (f/1.9) – main sensor (size 1/1.56″)
  • 50 megapixels (f/2.0) – ultra-wide
  • 64 megapixels (f/2.5) – periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom

On the front, there will be a 50-megapixel selfie sensor, ideal for high-resolution photos and 4K video calls.

Honor has also included a dedicated photo button, a clear sign of a focus on advanced mobile photography.

Premium Design and Features

The Magic 8 is said to have a metal chassis, glass back, and IP68/IP69/IP69K certification, ensuring dust and water resistance beyond current standards.

Among the other noteworthy details:

  • Dual speakers,
  • Support for Beidou satellite messaging,
  • 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the screen.

These elements confirm that Honor is not just following trends; the brand aims to compete directly with the flagships from Samsung and Xiaomi.

Colors and Availability

According to previous leaks, the Honor Magic 8 will be available in black, white, gold, and blue. The official presentation will take place on October 15, alongside the MagicPad 3 Pro tablet. Pre-orders are expected to open immediately after the conference.

With this generation, Honor appears to position the Magic 8 series as a technological showcase, capable of rivaling the best Android flagships while maintaining a slim design and exceptional battery life.

If these specifications are confirmed, the Magic 8 could very well become the most balanced Android smartphone by the end of 2025, combining power, battery life, and high-level photography.
