As mentioned earlier, One UI 8.5 will be natively available on the Galaxy S26, which has sparked discussions about its orange color in the Ultra version. The beta program is actively preparing, while One UI 8 has yet to reach all Samsung devices and is still rolling out. According to current information, the beta program for One UI 8.5 is expected to begin during the last week of November, or the week starting November 24. It’s worth noting that One UI 8.5 is already being tested on some of the company’s smartphones.

One UI 8.5 prepares for release, here’s when the update might be available

Typically, Samsung does not organize a beta program for its interim versions of One UI. However, One UI 7 disrupted the usual schedule of the Korean manufacturer. Samsung completely skipped the minor versions of One UI 7 to move directly to One UI 8, which itself benefited from a beta phase.

Currently, we do not know where the One UI 8.5 beta will be available, but it is possible that South Korea will be the first to access it. We also expect it in the United States and Europe, including France. However, Samsung has not provided any official confirmation. The same applies to the devices that will be compatible with the One UI 8.5 beta program.

However, we anticipate that the latest models such as the Galaxy S25, Galaxy Z Fold 7, or Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be eligible. The same goes for phones launched in the past two years, such as the Galaxy S24.

Firmware for One UI 8.5 has already leaked for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. According to current information, the modifications will primarily focus on aesthetic improvements, with no major changes expected, although some new features are still anticipated. Samsung prefers to refine its interface to enhance the user experience.
