Do you dream of working in artificial intelligence? Google Cloud has just launched a new series of training courses, including two completely free ones! Discover everything you need to know!
Artificial intelligence is the most revolutionary technology of recent years and is poised to profoundly change the job market.
While many worry about the significant displacement of human labor, artificial intelligence will also create a multitude of new jobs.
By training now, you can acquire skills that will be increasingly in demand in the coming years. So this is an opportunity not to be missed.
To assist you, Google has launched a series of resources focused on generative AI and tools like Bard or ChatGPT. Two new learning paths have been added to Google Cloud Skills Boost.
Introduction To Generative AI: A Completely Free Course With A Digital Badge!
The “Introduction to Generative AI” (introduction to generative AI) course offers non-technical content aimed at marketing, sales, and human resources professionals.
This program is completely free and will only take 45 minutes! It allows you to explore the principles of using AI responsibly and how generative AI can impact businesses.
You can then continue with the “Introduction to Large Language Models” and “Introduction to Responsible AI” courses. Expect around two hours for the full training.
Upon completion of the program, you can earn the Generative AI Fundamentals digital badge, which you can proudly display on your CV and social media to showcase your knowledge.
Generative AI For Developers: A Course Designed For Professionals
The “Generative AI For Developers” (generative AI for developers) course includes hands-on workshops and lessons designed for developers, software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning professionals.
To start this path, you must complete the “Introduction to Responsible AI” and “Generative AI Fundamentals” courses first.
Note that this path is not free. Google Cloud credits are required for the more advanced technical workshops on services such as Generative AI Studio and Vertex AI.
A wide range of hands-on workshops offers practical experience while working directly on Google Cloud.
With a single credit, you can access workshops on Generative AI Studio, Vertex AI, and Qwik Start. For trying out Gen AI App Builder and Model Garden, you’ll need five credits.
A Google Cloud Innovators Plus subscription provides access to all courses on generative AI and a whole year of on-demand training through Google Cloud Skills Boost.
Vertex AI: A Training Course In Collaboration With DeepLearning.AI
If you have ever tried to learn about Machine Learning, you probably know about Andrew Ng and his free beginner course.
Now, Google Cloud has collaborated with his organization DeepLearning.AI to create a new course titled “Understanding and Applying Text Embeddings with Vertex AI.”
This is yet another free course that covers concepts such as classification, anomaly detection, text clustering, and semantic search.
Each path offers a mix of theory and practical experience, with video lessons, hands-on workshops, and the opportunity to earn skill badges!
In the future, Google promises to regularly update its training resources to keep pace with the rapid evolution in the AI sector.
To start your journey into generative AI without delay, don’t miss a moment and head over to the Google Cloud Skills Boost platform!
Currently, the platform offers new modules on multimodal generative models, conversational AI, and the integration of responsible AI. Workshops now include advanced features for creating custom models, semantic analysis, clustering, and using Vertex AI Workbench and Model Garden. Some courses are still free while others require a Google Cloud Innovators Plus subscription or specific credits for the most advanced practical workshops.
FAQ
To work in AI, one must master machine learning, generative models, natural language processing, and multimodal AI. Programming skills (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch), cloud computing (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), and AI ethics are also essential for designing and deploying responsible and effective solutions.
Programs such as Google Cloud Skills Boost, DeepLearning.AI, or specialized master’s degrees in AI offer both free and paid courses. The programs cover generative AI, language models, machine learning, and responsible AI. Practical workshops, projects, and digital badges enable you to acquire directly applicable skills for the workplace.
Careers include prompt engineer, generative AI developer, data scientist, multimodal solutions architect, and AI ethics officer. Hybrid roles that combine IT, cloud computing, data analysis, and project management are increasingly sought after, providing opportunities in tech, finance, marketing, or healthcare.
