Microsoft identified a compatibility issue that has been blocking the update for some users since December 2024, due to problematic Bluetooth headsets and speakers. The bug specifically affected devices equipped with the Direct audio enhancement software. The faulty file cridspapo.dll completely disabled audio output after installing the 24H2 version of Windows 11, which continues to refine its interface.

Bluetooth audio devices and wireless headsets simply disappear from the operating system, while integrated speakers stop functioning properly. Microsoft applications or third-party software could not recognize the audio equipment, rendering PCs unusable.

Fortunately, Microsoft has now released a new driver via Windows Update to resolve this issue with Windows 11, which has now become more popular than Windows 10. Users who were previously blocked just need to restart their PCs to upgrade to 24H2. Of course, the process may still take a few days to reach the user.

But that’s not all; this fix that finally allows the installation of Windows 11 24H2 comes with improvements and patches. Microsoft recommends installing it to benefit from the latest security protections.

Unfortunately, there are other blockages that still prevent some people from upgrading to Windows 11 24H2. This includes PCs equipped with Intel SmartZoom Technology audio drivers, Senshield Technology drivers, certain wallpaper customization software, and some built-in webcams.
