A Credible Alternative to Windows
According to Osterloh, this effort goes beyond mere software compatibility. Google aims to integrate its entire AI stack, applications, and developer community to create a coherent and productive PC experience.

Cristiano Amon, CEO of Qualcomm and a long-time partner of Google, expressed great enthusiasm. He believes that future computers equipped with Snapdragon X processors will deliver an excellent combination of power and software integration.
This system could serve as a credible alternative to Windows’ dominance. According to IDC, Windows holds a market share of 79.8% in PCs by 2025, while ChromeOS accounts for just 7.3%.
