PLANO, TX – Stream Data Centers, a national data center developer and operator, announced today that construction has commenced on its latest development. The ground-up 145,000-square-foot, Ready-to-Fit Data Center is being built in Legacy Business Park, the premier master-planned, office campus and mixed-use development in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The facility, scheduled for completion in October 2017, is Stream’s tenth data center project in Texas.

“The North Texas market continues to attract corporate data center users and cloud providers looking for large blocks of space in a safe location with access to superior connectivity and reliable power,” said Rob Kennedy, co-managing partner of Stream Data Centers. “This data center will provide enterprise users and large-scale cloud providers with an attractive wholesale option in one of the fastest-growing markets in the country.”

Upon completion, the Stream Ready-to-Fit Data Center – DFW VI in Legacy Business Park will offer:

  • 145,000 square foot, purpose-built, structurally enhanced, powered shell data center expandable to 265,000 square feet

  • Robust and redundant fiber connectivity with four diverse fiber routes
