CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J. — Net Access, a leading provider of hybrid data center solutions, today announced that Packet, a bare metal infrastructure-as-a-service provider, is the first tenant in their new Parsippany II 70,000 square foot data center expansion. Packet’s platform delivers the experience of the cloud on bare metal servers by offering customers dedicated, physical servers on-demand – with no virtualization – in 10 minutes or less.

Located 30 miles outside of Manhattan, Net Access’ Parsippany II data center features high-density colocation capabilities, diverse and redundant 2(N+1) power systems, innovative heat chimney cooling, three factor biometric security and a carrier-neutral network infrastructure. The facility offers a 100% uptime SLA, and provides the scalability and resiliency that Packet requires.

“We did extensive due diligence of data center providers in the New York metropolitan area and Net Access came out on top when evaluating each of our criteria,” said Zachary Smith, Packet’s CEO. “The unique, innovative design of their Parsippany II data center, combined with the passion and dedication that their employees display, make them the ideal partner for us – one that’s committed to the best service and experience for the customer.”

“Net Access’ ability to provide true dual power feeds to high density cabinets with a metered billing methodology was a true differentiator for us,” added Adam Rothschild, SVP of Network for Packet. “The built-in redundancy of the infrastructure in their facility also impressed us, from the dual independent power systems, to the variety of on-net carrier options to the diverse cable entrances.”

“The Infrastructure-as-a-Service market has experienced double-digit growth in recent years,” stated Raul K. Martynek, Net Access CEO. “Our data centers are designed to meet the demanding requirements of customers like Packet Host, and allow them to quickly deploy flexible, customized configurations to support applications and services on demand.”
