Hivelocity Adds NTT Communications

Dedicated server, cloud and infrastructure services company, Hivelocity, announced today they have further enhanced their network with the addition of NTT Communications transit. Hivelocity provides hosting services to customers around the globe making network diversity and performance paramount to its service offerings.

NTT Communications joins Level 3, Time Warner Telecom, GTT, Cogent, Comcast and Global Crossing as the 7th transit provider on the Hivelocity network. NTT is ranked #2 on the bakers dozen of top tier 1 network providers with only Level 3 above it. With the addition of NTT the Hivelocity network now includes 5 of the top 6 tier 1 global fiber networks. The NTT global infrastructure covers 159 countries, which should please Hivelocity’s client base which spans 137 countries. Hivelocity also has a private peering network with points of presence in Los Angeles, Tampa, Miami and Atlanta.

“We have a very large customer base throughout Latin America with a heavy concentration in Brazil specifically. With the tools provided within our Noction intelligent routing protocol software I was immediately able to see our network performance improve in Brazil, Columbia, Japan and China upon turning up our NTT fiber,” said a Hivelocity Senior Network Engineer, Dejan Protich.

Hivelocity provides dedicated servers, cloud hosting and colocation services to customers in over 130 countries worldwide. Hivelocity recently completed a 15,000 sf data center expansion in Tampa FL.
