Web Hosting NewsPhoenix, AZ – Phoenix NAP®, a full service data center, premier infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) provider and primary network access point (NAP), announced today that it successfully completed a Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2, Type 2 audit.

“Completing our Service Organization Controls audit showcases Phoenix NAP’s continued focus on security and controls over our data center operations and provides current and future customers that that our policies and control measures are in line with industry standards,” said Ian McClarty, Phoenix NAP president. “We take pride in providing the utmost in security to not only current clients, but potential future ones as well and are pleased to have achieved an unqualified opinion on our most recent Service Organization Controls (SOC), Type 2 audit.”

Service Organization Control (SOC) audits replace the former Statement of Auditing Standards (SAS) 70 audit, the previous standard for Reporting on Controls at a Service Organization, as the new authoritative guidance in such matters.

Additionally, Phoenix NAP has retained its status as a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Validated Services Provider after Coalfire Systems, Inc., a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) completed its independent audit.

“This validation is another added benefit to our clients as they can leverage our security measures to meet portions of their own PCI DSS audit,” added McClarty. “With only a handful of data centers being PCI DSS validated services providers, we are truly delighted to be among that group.”

Phoenix NAP is listed on the Global List of PCI DSS Validated Entities and is one of only eight facilities on the list to have completed a successful SOC audit.
