Facebook and Intel to Headline Future Facilities Data Center Conference

Hosting NewsSAN JOSE, Calif. – Future Facilities North America, a leading provider of data center IT and infrastructure design, management and simulations software, today announced plans for its 2011 6SigmaDC Data Center Conference and User Group and Call for Presenters, which will take place November 15-17 at The San Francisco Marriott, Union Square. Entering its second year, the popular conference will feature an extensive agenda of case studies and best practices from some of today’s most technically advanced data centers, including those of Facebook and Intel.

During the conference, attendees will be treated to talks from Chuck Rego, Chief Architect at Intel Corp, and Veerendra Mulay, Thermal Engineer at Facebook. Mr. Rego will discuss a data center management methodology based on the integration of server-level monitoring and the 6SigmaDC Virtual Facility. Mr. Mulay will discuss the Open Compute standard for data center and server design and its significance for the data center industry.

In addition, attendees will hear how both large and small enterprises are deploying different modeling techniques to create more efficient data centers and more collaborative IT and facilities ecosystems.
