Host in Ireland to Present at HostingCon Europe 2016
DUBLIN – Host in Ireland, a strategic global initiative created to increase awareness of the benefits of hosting digital assets in Ireland, today announces that its Founder and President, Garry Connolly, will speak at HostingCon Europe 2016, taking place October 11-12 in Amsterdam.
On Tuesday, October 11, at 2:00 p.m., Mr. Connolly will join executives from Digital Realty, Console and the Dutch Datacenter Association for the panel, “Considerations When Choosing a Data Center in a Different Country.” The session will focus on the key governmental policy, economic and technological considerations when selecting a data center location, the relative advantages of different countries, and the importance of the proximity of internet exchanges when weighing such a decision.
“Ireland’s data center landscape has evolved dramatically over the past decade, as enterprises’ business requirements and the pivotal role of cloud and content providers continue to drive the global digital economy,” comments Mr. Connolly. “As multinational corporations seek security, renewable energy, connectivity and cost control in their data center hosting environments, Ireland is well-equipped to meet these requirements.”
Presented by the ResellerClub, HostingCon Europe is the premier European event for members of the cloud and service provider ecosystem. Now in its third year, HostingCon Europe is known for delivering high-quality educational sessions, invaluable networking opportunities and a vibrant exhibit hall.

About Host in Ireland
Host in Ireland is an industry-led marketing initiative that provides timely and accurate information on Ireland’s digital asset hosting ecosystem at all times, including demonstrating why Ireland is more cost-effective, efficient, reliable, secure and accessible than most other regions across the EU. There’s a reason companies like Microsoft, Zendesk, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Adobe and beyond have sought to host their solutions in as well as to/from Ireland. Many of these reasons are immediately realized due to access to affordable power, redundant network and bandwidth capacity along with a variety of data center providers that offer an array of services sustained by the 5 Ps: Policy, People, Pedigree, Pipes, and Power. On top of that is a very attractive business management structure, implemented by Ireland, which is keenly interested to bring new businesses into the market. Ireland supports this initiative through attractive fiscal structures, access to a skilled workforce and full support of the U.S. Safe Harbor and Patriot Acts – ensuring data asset compliance for companies large and small.
